Plat Information System

Welcome to the Plat Reference Information System. This system provides the means to retrieve an image of a known plat book and page and to also perform searches by plat title, street names that are included on the plat and by Guilford County Subdivision Case Number. Before using this application please take a moment to review the instructions below.

Simple Search by book and page:

Enter a book and page number in the designated text boxes. If it is a condo, check the Condo box. To see the image, click 'Search'.

Enhanced Searches:

Enhanced Search by book and page:

Enter a book and page number in the designated text boxes. To see the image only, click 'Display Image'. To see the information about the book and page, click 'Display Data'. (If there is no data for the selected book and page, the image will be displayed.) There is an icon on the data page that will allow you to view the image.

To Search by Plat Title:

In order to speed the download, only the titles beginning with 'A' are initially listed in the dropdown box. To view other titles, type the first few letters of the title in the text box and click 'Search'. All the titles that begin with those letters will be listed. Select the title you want to view by clicking it. It will be displayed in the long text box. Click 'Display' to view the record. If there is only one title by that name, the record information will be displayed on the next page. If there are more than one, a list of titles will be displayed for you to select from. When you select the correct title by clicking 'Select', all the information will be displayed on the next page.

To Search by Street Name:

In order to speed the download, only the streets beginning with 'A' are initially listed in the dropdown box. To view other streets, type the first few letters of the street in the text box and click 'Search'. All the streets that begin with those letters will be listed. Select the street you want to view by clicking it. It will be displayed in the long text box. Click 'Display' to view the record. If there is only one street by that name, the record information will be displayed on the next page. If there are more than one, a list of streets will be displayed for you to select from. When you select the correct street by clicking 'Select', all the information will be displayed on the next page.

To Search by Case #:

In order to speed the download, only the case numbers beginning with '0' are initially listed in the dropdown box. To view other case numbers, type the first few letters or numbers of the case number in the text box and click 'Search'. All the case numbers that begin with those characters will be listed. Select the case number you want to view by clicking it. It will be displayed in the long text box. Click 'Display' to view the record. The record information will be displayed on the next page.

Note:

Some people have reported problems when their .tif files are associated with QuickTime. You can resolve this issue by right-clicking on a .tif file and clicking Properties. Then change what the file opens with to another viewer such as 'Imaging' for Windows 2000.
